Interested in learning more about ARMA? If you live or work in Montgomery County or the surrounding areas, we hope you will consider attending one of our chapter meetings. It’s a great opportunity to meet, greet, and get to know other professionals in the information management and information governance industry.

We are always looking for new people to join. The chapter meets once a month at different venues in the area to dine and then listen to a speaker. Meeting topics range from archive and library management to implementing electronic records management systems and beyond. Our speakers are invited from all levels of government, private institutions, and from the vendor community. To find out more about our activities, see our Events page.
Membership in our local chapter can also help you build your personal network and enhance your professional and leadership skills.
Another way to learn about the Metro Maryland ARMA Chapter is to join the chapter Facebook page or follow us on Twitter. We also provide interesting articles, sites to surf, upcoming events, educational and employment opportunities to our members via email on a regular basis.
Student Membership
Discounted student membership in ARMA International is available for full-time students who are part of degree-conferring programs at a college or university at the undergraduate or graduate level. In addition, you can also join our chapter during the registration process. The Metro Maryland Chapter is one of many that offers free student membership.
To join ARMA and, if you choose, our local chapter, please go the Join as a Student page on the ARMA International website and follow the instructions there. The ARMA International student membership is $25.00 and includes an annual online subscription to the Information Management Magazine.
No proof of active enrollment is required when you process the discounted membership, but ARMA will conduct random audits to ensure proof. If proof is not provided, individuals will be asked to pay the difference between the standard professional rate and the discounted rate.
